The IP 100 is the first league table in the UK to rank the strength and use of IP in business and is aimed at identifying businesses which have invested significantly in their IP, through areas such as management policies, R&D activity and IP commercialisation. Overall, Exmos was ranked #9 and is one of five Scottish companies to make the top 10.
The League Table was founded this year by commercial IP firm Metis Partners and Business Quarterly and assessed companies across five asset classes - brand and reputation, patents, software (Exmos ranked at #17), critical databases (Exmos ranked at #2) and trade secrets. You can see the League Table here.
Rosa Wilkinson, Director of Innovation and Strategic Communications, IPO said “Firms that own IP assets grow faster, innovate more and create more and better jobs than others. They are at the core of our long term economic well-being. The IP 100 celebrates the achievements of the best of them. I hope others will look to emulate their success.”
Gordon Coulter, Exmos' MD is rightfully thrilled. “We are absolutely delighted to make the top ten. It’s a recognition that innovation is at the heart of our business and permeates all aspects of our organisation. IP matters. It’s a core business asset and we give it the attention it deserves.”
