Getting to know the neighbours

We had the pleasure of attending the Falkirk Herald Business Awards at the fabulous Airth Castle Hotel last week and as I sit here drinking tea from my Barbara Davidson mug (the bonus Mrs Tilly’s tablet is long gone) it’s nice to reflect on how vibrant a business community we have here. A wide range of businesses was showcased on the night covering sectors such as manufacturing, business services, social enterprises and retailers. Even our evening entertainment was home-grown.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the nominees, winners and sponsors of this year’s Awards. It was great to see how much they meant to everyone.

It strikes me how easy it is sometimes to become so involved in promoting our businesses to the wider world, that we miss what’s going on right on our doorstep. Take us - we’ve been here in Grangemouth for nearly 25 years, calmly and quietly delivering pain-free IT products and services to our customers both in Scotland and all around the world, but we know that many local businesses probably won’t have heard of us till now.

It’s about time we said “hello” to our neighbours in person, so we'll be getting in touch with them soon. In the meantime, no matter where you are, if your business needs innovative solutions and pain-free IT support, remember that our door is always open.
